Cinema Tools is changing the Lenght (time) of my clips!!! not just the FPS…
So something very strange is going on…
i have a couple long clips shot on a dvx100 in normal 24p mode. When i use CT to reverse telecine
the material, all but one clip is shrunk in length. At first i thought it was a quicktime issue (the new
clip say Clip A.rev shows up shorter in length than Clip A when opened in quicktime), but the
same thing occurs in FCP in a 23.98 timeline. The new clip 24 frames a second, but it’s almost
as if the file is playing at 30FPS.i had to break up 2 of the clips into parts because apparently cinematools cant do an inverse
telecine on clips larger than 5gig. But for some reason, only the shortest clip (around 3 minute long)
has the exact same length as the .rev clip. All the clips of 20minutes or so came out as
smaller files (expected) but that are shorter in length (bizarre).to give you precise information according the the Clip Analysis info in CT,
Clip A is 22:25:20 @ 29.97
Clip A.rev is 17:17:21 @23.97when i press the reverse telecine button, i get no options on how i want to process
the clips besides @ 23.98 or 24… it says it wants to do a 2:3:2:3 which makes sense.arg, someone please help… this make no sense…
i’m running 10.4.2 and CT 3.0.2thanks,
