final cut pro strobing
Posted by Johnalynn on August 9, 2005 at 11:18 pmi’m using final cut pro hd and i can’t get rid of the picture flickering and strobing when the clip has an effect on it. it is set in unlimited RT and Full quality cut to tape settings. can anyone help me solve this problem.

First thing to always try is to Quit FCP, Restart the Mac, Open your FCP project and try again.

A great way to do this is to use “FCP Rescue” a free Apple Script that will Trash the Preferences for you (and restore nearly all of your user settings afterward).

Another very obvious one. Is the image in your viewer or canvas window larger than the window? Try reducing the picture size to 25% to check.
