  Dropping cow into Caustics

  I cant seem to get the waves layer invisible, it just remaines gray over the image to be displaced. What can i do?

  I am on Windows, AE 6.5

  precompose your wave layer,otherwise it won’t work!

  I have, im just left with a white wave comp, that the picture underneath still wont show through.

  I must be doing something wrong!!

  Ok,

  I have managed to do everything as described, but the I cant get the layer with caustics to react to the wave layer. i have selected the water surface as the wave layer, but there is no effect what so ever on the bottom layer. not even the slightest movment, but back in the wave layer the waves are clearly moving.

  What am i doing wrong??
