How do you lower someones voice? Like in an “undercover” show or “witness protection”?
Someone mentioned pitch shift… but I can’t seem to find it. I know that you can slow down the entire clip (including picture) but that’s to dramatic effect for me.
Also, I need the video and audio to still be in sync. I just want it to sound deeper or sort of mechanical… like the voice is being disguised on purpose… if that makes sense? -

You have FCP studio? Go into soundtrack pro and use the effect under Mac OS effects – pitch

There is no pitch shift in FCP. I don’t think very many NLEs would have such a feature, though most audio editors should have it. If you don’t have SoundTrack Pro, you should have gotten a free copy of Peak DV or Peak LE with FCP, or you could download the free, open source, audio editor Audacity at https://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/mac.

yes, there IS a pitch shift in FCP5.
i cant remember if it’s in the AU filters, or the FCP filters, but it’s caled “Pitch”it’s bristiling with controls, and i have no idea what they all do!
but one’s called “Pitch” or maybe just has a percentage sign.

Peak only does pitch shift in the full version, not the Peak DV version
