    Anyone see this?
Receive “Error Unknown File” when trying to save, and system does not allow Save or Save as – error popped up each time (twice today and has happened previously to others). Only solution was to exit, relaunch FCP, create a new project with the exact same name as the corrupted/now missing project, then do a restore, which worked perfectly.

    TIA,
    -Les

Yeah it’s happened on and off. It usually occurs if you’ve had network drives mounted and have un-mounted them while FCP is still open. Try saving the project to another drive, that’s worked for me before.

I find that this happens only after leaving my system on overnight. If I do leave it on overnight, I restart the Mac before working on any projects. That works for me. Haven’t tried just logging out and back in. That seems to work for some of our SAN problems.
