So I went to install FCP 5 but then after the install the appl won’t open because I never changed out my graphics card and it is old. So (I was running 4.5HD) and after deleting FCP 5 from my computer I only had disks for 4.0 and now that is installed and when I go to open my project files they are corrupted. Because they were saved last in 4.5? Or am I royally screwed?

For future reference, before you upgrade, rename your FCP application (ie. FCP 4.5) When you upgrade, you will retain your previous version and also have the current version.
