    Sadly, no.

This has to be one of the weakest points about FCP. Can anyone name me one application that employs keyframes that doesn’t allow you to copy and paste. Can’t think of one myself. I know, I know some will say “Why don’t you do that in Motion or After effects?” Well I say “Why do I need the hassle of exporting and importing just to do some simple keyframe editing?”

    Klaus,

Search the archives on this, there are a number of workarounds for this, one being copying the clip and replacing it’s content with paste attributes.

I utilize the Paste Attributes all the time for copying keyframes.
Just copy your keyframed clip, and ctrl-click on the new clip, select Paste Attributes, and select Basic Motion, or whatever other attributes you have changed. TC

    Perch,

In my experience, this only works for basic motion, not filters.

This should work for filters as well though it may have been broken in some recent versions.

And appears still to be broken.

Since it worked in FCP3, bBroken” at this point suggests the feature was deliberately sabotaged by Apple. One can only wonder Why.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”

Are those conspiracy guys in EyeDeeHo wearing you down bogiesan? More likely just a bit of a hack.

Works in 4.5 too. Unless I’ve got a bug in my software that reinstates the broken “feature”. TC
