dropping frames
Posted by Lee on July 13, 2005 at 1:49 pmHi Guys
Using FCP 5 with a DP 2.7GHZ and Lacie firewire extreme drive(88mbs).
Everytime I play the footage it says it drops frames
Files are saved on the external drive
It’s set to dynamic RTAny thoughts?

July 13, 2005 at 2:49 pmThere are dozens of possibilities unfortunately, difficult to debug. You can search the forum for dropped frames and see if any of the many threads offer anything relevant. That might be faster than us suggesting lots of stuff you’ve already tried, doesn’t apply to your situation or might not understand. No way to know from here.
It’s usually a question of FW traffic, one silly or incorrect setting or a mechanical issue with the drive.
