Hello, I have a problem capturing anamorphic footage. SDI + Decklink Extreme + 10.4.1 + FCP5. All the settings capture and sequence are tagged to Anamorphic. But when i captured and open item properties doesn’t appear that it’s anamorhpic. And i have to do manually before drag to the timeline. Does exist any solution for it ??. Please i don’t want to tag every clip to anamorphic, with FCP 4.5 doesn’t happen. What i have to do ??

    Thank You

Have you posted this in the BlackMagic / Decklink forum? I sounds like it’s a Capture Setting issue, but I’m sure the BlackMagic guys will help you figure it out.

I think the anamorphic setting is bit hit and miss – I’ll get some files that get tagged properly and some that don’t. It doesn’t actually make any difference to the media file, so it’s not a big deal.

In your logging bin, open up the column ‘anamorphic’ (scroll across to it, or better still creata custom logging setting with ins, outs durs, tape names & anamorhphic). Then you can select all of your clips at once and click them to anamorphic with one click.
