I posted on here as many of you are also experts with Compressor. I have footage that is 720×486 at 24p. So I am trying to make an MPEP2 at 24p in compressor. Trouble is, no matter what I do to the preset for the encoding, my file turns out to be 640×480 instead of 720×480 which is what it says it is in the summary for the MPEG2 preset. HELP?

    thank you

That’s the hardwired default for MPEG2 in Apple’s world, can’t be changed AFAIK. If you need a different display, you crop it or letterbox it in FCP. Silly, but I think that’s all you can do. Check the specs in the Compressor online help for MPEG2, I’m pretty sure it’s all explained there.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”
