  FCP 4.5/5.0 Colorbar BUG – MYSTERY

  Can anyone confirm “odd” behavior in FCP 4.5, also seen by a friend in FCP 5.

  1) Using a straight forward new DV-NTSC project. In FCP

  I think this is because from your viewer you are looking at uncompressed bars. When you look at them in a DV sequence you are looking at them through DV compression, and I believe that DV adds setup (affects your black levels).

  Not quite, this is not an IRE issue or it would effect the entire colorbar range. Believe me, I am well schooled on 0-7.5 IRE and DV issues. Read my post again, it ONLY effects TWO color squares. Did you do the test?
