It can sometimes take a very long time for the finder to load a .m2v file in column view. If you short that’s not it, then it’s possible the file is corrupted.

When I import *any* file into DVD SP, it crashes the app, including .m2v’s that worked fine before.

I guess you repaired permissions after upgrade?

yes, I repaired permissions. Whenever I try to open a folder containing any .m2v file in DVDSP 4, it crashes the finder, but not the app.

Did you ever find a solution to this problem…wow I can’t believe I found someone else with the same issue. The only work around is to select the .aiff file first and then highlight the .m2v file second…that way the finder won’t close and you can import into DVDSP and it will work fine…however I still don’t know how to fix the problem…

    And it is a problem…

    Any advice?

The only thing I can conclude so far is that when we upgraded FCP or even apple updates there is something about how they work with the newer operating system. I can see the exact same .m2v file on my Powerbook and it’s fine. And that is 10.4.4 unlike my G5 which is still 10.3.9
