Help please, I have problem with edit to tape.
When I drag sequence to ETT window, my DSR11 preroll and start record, but no sound no picture. I can see picture on mirror of desktop. When I play from timeline all is OK. Past ETT I must refresh devices, becouse I see freez picture on TV monitor. I tried trash pref. reinstall FCP5, repair permissions, uninstall AJA and DeckLink drivers, restart, but without success.
On my G4 with FCP 4.5 and 10.3.9 all is running without problems.
    HELP please
    thanks

I have had this problem. I was never able to trace where it came from. Tried all the remedies you mentioned. Finally spent last saturday doing a erase and clean install of 10.41, FCP studio and my other apps. Edit to tape now works again.

Thanks Dan for your answer, this is my nightmare to do clean installation of OS and other app.
But it will be necessary. If you say that ETT is working now, I’ll do it.
    Thanks Karel

please check A/V Device setting under Audio/Video Settings. proper video and audio device should be selected and mirroring should be checked off.
Also, on ETT window, there are small icons (easy to overlook) let you select which tracks be recorded (video, audio, t/c). The video icon looks like film (with perforation) and it gets yellowish when it’s on and gray if it’s off. If the video is off (in gray) then the video won’t be recorded on tape.
I’ve never had such problem, but I’m interested. please share with me if you find remedy for your problem.
