Sugestion for Aharon (or any other “tutorialist”)
I allready few the Aharon’s tutorial to improve the workflow, but recently a rock&roll musician come to me to with a long live music show of his band. He say me that he want to edit and add some cool effects, allright to
there. I edit, cut the bad parts of video and everything is fine, but the effects parts is the difucult part.
I know that after effects can open the premiere proyect, but one proyect with a lot of cut in a PP, represent a proyect with a lot of layer in AE, and a lot of time of rendering. I decide to copy the clips that I and the client consider nice to put and effects, and paste it to AE, maek the effects and then render as .MOV file, this way work fine but the .MOV file are a big file and I have a space limitation on my PC. Anybody have a tip
for doing this process more eficient and low spacing comsuming.Aharon put your mind in work!!!! hahaha

What video architecture and to which CODEC are you rendering your files from AE? It is best to render to the same CODEC that will be used in Premiere.

That’s actually a fine way to do it. Just work with a good uncompressed codec like QuickTime PNG. If you don’t have enough for 5 minutes of a music video uncompressed go but a 500GB external drive…
Now if you’re doing HD, charge more and buy a 10 TB Dual Channel Fiber storage!

I have a 250GB External HD. all the footage of this video take aprox 35GB but I thinking for the future Jobs coz this its already finished. thanks for the tip andrew. Im a newie to AE and any tips for workflow it greate for me.

in the world of video 250 gig is tiny. Uncompressed HD footage can run up to 500gb/hour for just your raw source

May I humbly suggest that you try TIFFs with LZW compression. It works in almost any application on almost all platforms and the files are decent in terms of storage requirements.

Well, what about Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V rom Premiere to After Effects?
Just select all your files from the timeline in Premiere and paste them into After Effects.
