My finished timeline video looks fine. I export a QT that FCP turnes into a seq. I burn the file with iDVD all is well BUT the video is artifacting – jagged edges on video with any movement. I’ve done this in the past 4 times and all worked well. I ALSO tried burning a QT uncompressed (BetaCam 8bit) file same results.

    Hey Randy,

What kind of footage? How shot? Could be a field order issue or pulldown if you shot film.

Hey, I looked at your profile, you’re a neighbor, I live over by the Pointe at South Mountain.

Shot BetaCam SP inported uncompressed and exported to QT uncompressed then burned. The stange thing is this is my 5th project on FCP all the past ones look great. What do you do at the point? I am shooter editor and bottle washer for Word of Grace church. We produce a video a week for the main service here and just got the FCP system

I had the same problem last weekend burning a sample video to IDVD.

It was working well a few weeks ago but now IDVD seems to be squishing
the footage vertically. There is a black bar on the top and bottom of the screen
and the fields are totally mangled. I was using 10bit footage.

I then tried other SD footage on my machine that was in a variety of
codecs; 8bit, pjpeg etc and also footage that was 486 high and 480 high.
Some of the footage was made in FCP some in After Effects. I had the same
results with everything that I tried. I then tried DV footage and that worked as it should.
