You can use Media Manager inside of FCP. You can also use the drag the files to the trash method and choose “Empty The Trash” option from the file menu in Finder. I generally like using the last method as I can better see what I need or want to delete.

Select everything you want to delete in the Browser.

Control click on one item and select “Make Offline”. Follow the prompts.

Then to delete render files, open the Render Manager from the Tools menu. And delete all renders from the dialog box which will open. This is the only way to really sort what’s getting deleted render file wise.
