After Effects Export help
Heres my problem. I have been making a short movie using a Pal DVD Cam. I am using Adobe Premire to edit the movie but adding effects to a few clips in after effect.
But the problem is when i put the movie together the afer effects parts a different to clips that have not gone through after effects.. the quality seems lower.
What im doing is capturing the dv footage using premiere. Any clips that need effcts are imported into after effects. I apply my effects then export using DVPALPro ( i have also tried uncompressed and still the same). i then just 25 FPS and interlaced.
Can anyone give me any advice to improve my results.

You should be using uncompressed for both the export from Premiere AND After Effects.

Also, I would go through the render queue (make movie) and not through the export dialog box. You can better control what is going (field ordering etc).

PS….If you have the premium studio which has PP2 and AE7, then you don’t need to export or render from either to the other, you can simply use the dynamic link.

Thank you for the advice so far. I am not exporting from Premiere.
I capture the video with Premiere, then any clips that need effects applied i load the avi into after effects do the work then export it back into an avi from after effects.
Could someone also explain how to do the dynamic linking and its advantages please.

The advantage of Dynamic link is no render from After Effects to Premiere. You are importing a raw AE project right into Premiere.
