  FCP 4 and realtime HD !?!

  Hi,

  I have G5/2.0DP, 4GB RAM, xServe RAID and BlackMagic HD card.

  If I put 1 stream of HD video in my sequence everything is OK no rendering required. But if I apply transition or filter I need to render. Not one filter or transition in FCP is bolded (realtime) while I work with HD material.

  I tried FCP rendering engine and BlackMagic rendering engine with no luck.

  Is this normal!?!

  What type of HD is it and what RT settings are you using?

  Uncompressed 10-bit HD

  I tried FCP rendering engine and BlackMagic rendering engine with same result.

  What I would like to know is can FCP render effects in real time on HD stream and if it can how (settings)?
