Blend modes in M100 timeline
Posted by Marcus Warren on August 29, 2013 at 3:55 amIs there a way to composite directly in the M100 timeline using Blend Modes (Hard Light, Soft Light, Add, Screen, Difference, etc.) without having to go into the RED interface?

August 30, 2013 at 1:35 amTo the possible ire of Michael Stowe, I have to ask: Is Media 100 the only professional NLE that does not allow blend mode compositing on the timeline (or without leaving the timeline)?

August 30, 2013 at 3:23 pmAvid does not do Blend/Transfer modes natively. Easiest way there is to go through AvidFX (Red). 😉

September 4, 2013 at 2:12 amInterestingly, Michael, the day that I read your post, I saw on the COW homepage a new tutorial in the Vegas Pro called training series called Compositing Modes. Maybe the Avid users will migrate to Sony Vegas Pro.
