  MXF import

  Trying to import what is alleged to be DVCPRO HD 1080i footage. Can’t confirm exactly because it’s in an MXF wrapper. When I import as prores 1080i it looks and behaves like 25P, that is two repeated frames each time, or 50 fields, but only 25 different frames. If I import as 25P it looks pretty much the same, that is, a bit jittery in its movement compared to what you’d see with interlaced footage with 50 fields per second.
  I’m importing with Calibrated softwares MXF converter.
  It seems to me that in fact the original must be 25P. Is there a way of telling what the MXF contains. The info screen gives nothing away. Would like to know my facts before abusing the crew. Any hunches out there.
