    Hi
I have a shot through a window and i’d like to add water condensation at the bottom of this window.
I also would like to have one drop that runs down the window and as soon as it hits another drop they’d merge together.
    Any ideas?

CC Ball Action (generic drops), CC Mercury (for the merging one), Bubbles or other particle systems. Use duplicate layers with Displacment for fake refractions. Other than that, I believe there is some such filter in one of the Tinderbox plugin suites.

If you are able to create a black and white animation of it with some blur, then you just have to apply a displacement map on it, the result of the bachground distortion would be perfect.

    Hi
    thank you guys!
I ‘ve tried the CC Ball option. How do i get the balls to look like water drops?
I use it as a displacement map and it looks just bad.

You cannot change the shape of the spheres, unfordunately. If that’s required I can only – once again – recommend Trapcode’s Particular with a custom particle shape.

Hey man, do what I say, it’s easier and the result will be more realistic, if I have time at home this weekend I’ll do a test to show you.

Once you have mattes for the drops, you can use our Shade/Shape. $89.95

It builds a 3D inflation on your matte and allows you to reflect the background image on it for a glassy and/or watery effect (and other effects, not just glassy). It really works great as the mattes of your droplets merge and split. You can try a demo of it, available from the downloads section for Shade/Shape : https://www.revisionfx.com/rsshade.htm

Look in the gallery section on our website for some examples. The second to last one has a glassy, watery effect.

If you have trouble, simply post to me a couple of frames of your droplet mattes and source material and we’ll get you a sample project. You can email that info to techsupport@revisionfx.com
