  Can’t get P2 imported in m100 Suite 1.1.3

  Got a drive with – apparently – DVCPRO HD 720p60 files showing as MXF files shot with a P2 Camera.

  Trying to import with the M100 import P2 feature. Files are lining up in the window but import button remains greyed out, can’t click on it.
  Nor can’t I select a single clip -or all clips – in the window as if something was missing.

  I do have all the FCP codecs installed, I think – FCP does a very good job importing these files. In fact that’s my workaround so far : FCP does convert the MXF into .mov DVCPRO HD files that I import into M100 as regular Qt files.

  My question is : What do I need to make it – Import P2 feature – work?

  Or maybe a newer media 100 suite version would help?

  Maybe 720p60 was not supported in Suite 1.1.3; I am not sure about that. The current version does support this framerate. Maybe you can download the Suite 2 trial to see if your files do work with it. Or send me a small file (floh@mac.com), and I will have a look if it imports into Suite 2.

  I’m still running Suite 1.1.2 and I have no trouble importing 720p P2 footage.

  I think I’ll go first with v2 trial on second computer.
  But still, if Mr. Slenker succeeds with 1.1.2… There is something wrong with mine. Or maybe it depends on the source.

  Better work around though now (quality wise), I bought Calibrated softs MXF Importer AND DVCPRO HD Decoder.
  That allows me to drag and drop files onto a bin and set import settings to 1080p29,97 as DVCPRO HD, small upconvert but still good quality.
  I could not read MXF wrapped (?) DVCPRO HD from the source without the Calibrated Decoder. And could not import complete files without buying the MXF option.

  Still I thought it would help M100 P2 Importer feature, but nope.
  I’ll send you a file if no success with v2.
