  Transcoding to ProRes on import in FCP as per Media 100?

  Apologies for an FCP related post here but I’m trying to duplicate a Media 100 workflow in FCP and I know that Floh amongst others uses both systems.

  So I want to import XDCAM EX via XDCAM Transfer into FCP and transcode to ProRes at the same time, via a Kona 3 card. This is very straightforward in M100 but I can’t find a way to do it in FCP – other than transcoding to ProRes using Media Manager after import – which seems a bit clunky.

  Anyone else doing this?
