I have a Media100HD program (1920 Prores 422HQ from 1080iHDV) that I want to output for Web and Youtube. I am having fantastic results from the “export file” command, choosing MPEG-4 and then setting up custom parameters for H264.

The only problem is that the final compressed file shows interlacing, and I can’t figure out if I can deinterlace the source in media100 output interface. I see the the field dominance drop down, but it doesn’t seem to make a difference.

I have also had good results with Compressor and Streamclip, using M100HD ref files as the source. If I use these apps, what settings should I use to correct brightness/gamma etc, to compensate for the 16-235 color range?

I know someone will suggest I get Bitvice, but I’m looking for a solution with the tools I have.

    Thanks

If you have AE, then you have the perfect tool.

I also use Sorenson Squeeze, it works very well for flash or other web formats and has good de-interlace settings.

I agree with Olof. I’ve used JES Deinterlacer with great results too (for free).
