I am following a tutorial for After Efeects (6.0)where I have text in a 3d layer and the text layer is in a floor (another 3d layer) and I added a camera. Everything looks great except when I want to zoom in the text with the camera, the text gets distorted and blocky, do I have to change settings in the camera? Can some one help correct this?

    Thank you

Are you letting it render the frame? Is your screen render set to full?

Did you create the graphics in AE?

Sometimes when I move the camera (or anything for that matter) it takes a bit to re-generate the images. If I don’t have it set to full then it won’t render the screen fully.

Text graphics built in AE are vector graphics so they SHOULD stay crisp.

Make sure you have continious rasterization checked. That’s usually the solutuon to that problem.

Sounds like you may have a precomped text layer. If that’s the case, then go to the precomp itself and enlarge the text layer so that it will never be greater than 100% in the comp with the camera. You can tell how large to go by juxtaposing both comps while scaling the text layer.

All text layers are now Continuously Rasterized by default. But Continuous Rasterization only happens in the precomp and not in the comp(s) that it is precomped in.
