    Hello,

A minor problem but one I seem to get frequently is the error message
“Could not close because the file is already in use”, or “Could not save because the file is already in use.”

When I have finished a project or just want to quit Media 100 for the day I try to save everything then seem to have trouble convincing Media100 I really do want to close or quit. After a few attempts it will close or save properly.

Everything else has been running like the proverbial swiss watch for the longest time so I can’t complain,
but if anyone has a suggestion about what this could be I would appreciate it.

    Media 100i 8.2.3
    OSX 10.3.9

    thanks

Could finder or some other program have the folder open in which your project resides? If so close it.

Check your user permissions, or the specific permissions on the file that you are trying to close.
