I’m wondering if anyone knows how to force javascript/aftereffects to write windows formatted text from a mac?

I’m writing a javascript that will export data out of aftereffects into a text file that will be readable in cinema 4d. Cinema’s ascii importer imports windows formatted text no problem, but has problems with mac formatted text. I have heard that the tab and return characters are encoded differently in windows as opposed to mac.

To confirm that this is really the problem, I have resaved my exported text files as “windows” out of excel and it works perfectly. I’ve also run the script on a pc and again works perfectly. So I’m pretty sure it’s the win/mac difference that’s keeping me from writing a handy little script.

    Thanks for any leads
