  Export from Premiere Pro to media 100i : which codec?

  Hello,

  I have Premiere Pro pro (on PC) and Adobe After Effects Pro 7.0 on my PC computer and I need to export a video file to a friend’s Media-100 i system (on MAC). Which codec should I use?

  There is no Media 100 i codec for the PC. If your friend would run one of the newer Media100 systems you could use many standard QuickTime codecs. For Media 100 i you should use Motion JPEG B in the correct resolution (640*480 or 720*486 NTSC, 768*576 or 720*576 PAL) and the correct field order. Ask your friend which resolution he uses. The Media 100 i codec is based on MJPEGB, so the quality should not suffer when importing it into Media 100 i, but depending on the length of the clips it will take some time to transcode.
