    Hi
    i shooted video in dvcam format; pal 720:576; 16:9 anamorphic
    using 2 pd 150 sony cameras (3ccd)
    at which quality i can digitize the video manteining the original video quality?
    i can arrive at 360kb per frame, but isn’t this more than the shooting quality?

    PS which sotware i can use to convert 4:3 to 16:9

    thanks a lot

    For online quality from DVCam I would suggest something around 240k PAL. DVCam data rates are lower than that, but since the signal gets converted to uncompressed and then recompressed to the Media 100 i codec it makes sense to keep the data rate higher. On recompression artifacts could appear when using lower data rates.

    E.g. AfterEffects. Or Media 100 sw, which is quite good at mixing 4:3 and 16:9 material.
