  Hi,

  I have a Media 100 i xr V8.2.3 and was wondering which computer is better?

  Should I use a PowerMac G4 or a Macintosh G5 systems with an expansion chassis?

  Which is better, G4 or G5 for Media 100i?

  Which brand of Expansion Chassis is best?

  I would stick to the G4. You won’t see any performance benefits in Media 100 with a G5 as all rendering in Media 100 is done with its PCI boards. Where you will see performance benefits with the G5 are in apps like Photoshop, After Effects renders and pretty much everything else.
