What does the Media 100HD do with SD video that is native 4:3 when it converts it to HD? Does it stretch it or leave it 4:3 with black edges?
Also, does it do this in real time? As soon as I capture it can I play it right out to a HD source?

    Thanks in advance.

You have various options, either to stretch it, to pillarbox it (black bars left and right), to crop it (to use only a part of the image) or to combine these commands.

Yes, either on digitizing or on output. You have to decide if you want to capture in HD (you will need fast and big storage) or to work in SD (compressed or uncompressed) and to output HD with the above options simultaneously to SD and HD.
