  OT: HD workflow question

  Hi All,

  Has anybody tried the following: Sony HVR-Z1U -> Miranda HD-Bridge DEC -> Media 100HD HD-SDI IN ?

  I guess my question is two-part, how good is the HDV to uncompressed HD conversion of the Miranda HD-Bridge DEC and although Media 100 HD is not on Miranda’s Compatibility chart, if the HD-Bridge is outputting an HD-SDI (1080i) signal, shouldn’t Media 100 HD be able to accept this signal ? How many HD-SDI flavours are there ?

  I hope to be getting a Convergent Design box (HDV-Connect) which is due in the UK any time now. I will be converting HDV to HD for editing in Media 100HD. I believe it will go in via firewire with machine control for the Sony HVR M10 deck. Everyone seems to think all will be well, I’ll post results when I have tested.

  Thanks for your response Michael, I look forward to reading your results. Sure seems like an affordable way to get HD into a Media 100 HD.
