I use bitvice with great results for all my DVD’s. However, when I put video in the menu, it sometimes looks a little (for lack of a better word) wavy. I let DVD SP encode the menu video from a M100 self contained movie so I am not compressing it twice. I also have turned up the bitrate in DVD SP to get the best results (I thought). I am still not happy with the video on the menu’s, can any of you give me some insight on what I might be doing wrong? I really only notice the problem when there is a pan or motion in the shot.

    Thanks

This sounds like a field dominance or cropping error. Probably you

I could encode the thumbnail in Bitvice. The only reason that I have not is because everyone I understood the DVDSP would recompress the menu video and I know that I did not want to compress it twice. Is this not the case?
