    occasionally i need to make a PAL dvd.

    i export my project from M100 as a self-contained file. open that file in quicktime pro, export it as MPEG2 as usual but make sure i have selected “pal” from the “video systems” tab. i bring the resulting files into DVD studio pro and make the DVD as usual but i make sure to click the “pal” button.

    unfortunately my PAL customers routinely report problems with their discs. is there some step i’m missing?

    I occasionally send DVD’s overseas that I created in NTSC without any issues.

    Could it be possible that your switching the buttons to PAL is the issue?

    Nearly all PAL DVD players can play back NTSC DVDs as long as they are not locked to RC1. You are much safer by delivering an NTSC DVD than a badly-converted PAL DVD from NTSC source material.
