• Media 100

  no b-y

  I’ve suddenly lost b-y on digitizing component. 7.5.1, p60000 w/DV, MDD1.25Ghz. Output for component is fine, as is i/o for all others. I’ve swapped all cables, junction panels and tried another Mac. Probably a partially pooched board. Any thoughts?

  If you have disconnected your breakout box lately, have you looked if there is a bent pin on the connection cable? This happens easily and is the most likely source of a missing signal. And you should check the output of the beta and the cables to be sure that it is a Media 100 problem. Maybe the Media 100 hardware test does detect an error…

  Tried and checked all of that – no bent pins, no bad cables, betacam output signal ok. Sigh…
