I mentioned on another thread a virtual gig that I was supposed to have at the end of the month. It’s now been put on hold indefinitely. It would’ve been a very large production ( 8-10 editors.) But as we continue the complete shutdown of our economy, it simply couldn’t be green lit. I rarely, if ever, work on productions of that scale but in this crazy, tumultuous time I was fully prepared to sign on.

The canceling of that gig made me pause to fully consider what the economic fallout might be if the coronavirus continues it’s rapid growth throughout the world. And so I returned to an article that I had attached in my other post because to me it’s been guiding all of my thoughts on how the United States and other countries need to tackle the pandemic so that we can all get back to work.

The original article was written on March 10 https://bit.ly/396Mxy0 and a follow up article was written on March 19th https://bit.ly/39h4VnQ. Both of these pieces have been widely distributed – the author claims 40 million views and 30 translations. The two pieces use the statistical data that has been gathered from the on-set of the virus to determine what the best course of action is going forward. I believe both of these articles are a great resource for understanding what the world is facing in defeating this pandemic. But I’m a storyteller and not a scientist and so I’m just making what I believe to be logical assumptions.

How about the rest of this community? Are there pieces that you’ve read or videos that you’ve seen that have helped clarify what needs to be done to get us back to work relatively quickly and more importantly safely? There’s a lot of very smart people that contribute here so I’d be curious to hear thoughts.
