  Speeding up 50fps in 25fps timeline

  For a project I am currently working on I need to edit 50fps footage in a 25fps timeline. I did not interpret any footage and just dragged it into a 25fps timeline, so far so good. Now when I try to speed up certain parts of the video the playback of the sped up part becomes stuttery, freezes and knocks all of the footage (even non-sped up parts) permanently out of sync.

  How do I fix this?
