which plugin used in the spot of Motorola V3 “transformer” where 30 spot opens on a woman in a chic living room watching video footage of herself and her husband on the television screen. She closes the laptop computer in front of her and stands up. Immediately, the room and its contents begin to compact and fold over — from the fireplace to chandeliers to electronics to the hallway — until the entire house has condensed into a Motorola V3 phone leaving the woman in a white and empty environment. It is a combination of a lot of shooting angles and clean shots into which the woman is composited (overlaid) and under whom all the clean shots are getting a combination of morphs and other techniques that I am sure were quite time-consuming. The resolution is too ragged to tell if the environmental shots are 3D or naturally filmed. I’d opt for the filming idea, myself. There is no magic plug-in that is going to do this for you. It is a lot of pre-conceptual work and then getting the right shots into the can. From there, the magic happens.
That’s my take on it but if others have a more educated idea, I am all ears myself.

I love this add, and I’ve been thinking the same thing. I think the previz work was tough on this one. My guess is greenscreen actor, 3D work with a few real elements blended in to add to the reality.
That’s how I would look at getting it done, i think

Man, If a plug-in existed that duplicated the effect of hundreds of man hours using many different programs and disciplines, that would put a lot of ppl out of work.

3D work.
There is no “magic plugin”, but there are lots of talented people on it. -
the clip was made by Chelsea Pictures in collaboration with The Orphanage which provided intensive 3D effects work.
