I’m using Premiere Pro CC 2019 for a video with natural 23.976 fps. But when I load the video into Premiere the fps goes by 29.97. I tried to change it by going to the project panel and right-clicking on the clip then going to modify==>interpret forage and entering the assumed frame rate and it still goes by 29.97 fps.

How can I get it to change to go by 23.976?

Did you create a 23.976 timeline that changes “by itself”? Or make a timeline using the clip?

    System:
    Dell Precision T7600 (x2)
    Win 7 64-bit
    32GB RAM
Adobe CC 2017.1 (as of 8/2017)
    256GB SSD system drive
4 internal media drives RAID 5
Typically cutting short form from UHD MP4, HD MP4, and HD P2 MXF.
