PNG import in Premiere Pro 2018
When I import a PNG that I have used with no issue multiple times in PP 2017 now when I import the same graphics in PP 2018 I get a whacked, repeating image. See attached Screen Shots. I went back a rechecked PP 2017 and they work fine but not the case in PP 2018. Anyone else have these problems or an idea how to correct them? Thank you for any help in advance.

Thanks for your reply. I’m looking for others to verify the issue and try a PNG import to see if we have identified a bug. I have cut the project in PP 2018 and if i recall timelines in PP are not backwards compatible.

I don’t have the particular files that you have but I can’t see the same issue. The files that are behaving strangely seem to be in a sequence. Do you have any effects on the sequence clips or do you have adjustment layers with effects on them?

Certain issues with png’s have been fixed in 12.1.1.

Thanks Ann for your comment I do see the 12.1.1 update and I will give it a try.
I am pretty certain my graphics are not the issue and that the problem is a bug in PP 2018.Nick Delfino
