  mp4 clip

  I have a clip which is 1440X1080 4:3 mp4 now when i import in premiere its not displaying correctly
  when i play it in vlc it plays correctly and at the 4:3 with the bars

  when in premiere its out of proportion
  what sequence settings should i be using?

  how do i set it to the right ratio 4:3?

  So this isn’t an anamorphic file? Not meant to be stretched out to 16:9? Because 4:3 HD is a non-standard format (well, now more standard due to Instagram)…so Premiere might not be set up for it. You can create a custom sequence that matches that format by dragging the clip onto the NEW SEQUENCE icon in the Browser.

  I have scaled it to about 75% as Dave LaRonde recommend and its look alot better now
