  Premiere proxy footage renamed and doesn’t match native

  I’m the 3rd editor to pick up a project and am trying to sort everything out.

  The original footage is red 5k, but the footage in the Premiere project is 1280 x 720. After some digging I determined the footage in the project is proxy footage. However, it was renamed from the native media.

  So when I tried to reconnect full rez media, Premiere has no idea where do go. Neither do I.

  Any ideas? Eyeball match the proxy footage to the native media and rename the native to match the proxy? Does that seem like the best solution?
