  • how to turn multi-cam toggle ON for multiple video tracks in a timeline?

Hey all – So I am using multicam but have multicam clips in various video tracks, and I can only see the multi-cam view for the track that is selected. See images below:

Example A: In this one, multi cam works bc the video clip is in track 1

Example B: Multi cam does not work bc clip is in track 2

As far as I know, you can only use Multicam View in track 1. Maybe there’s a way I’m not familiar with, but I’m pretty sure this is how it works.

[Blaise Douros] “As far as I know, you can only use Multicam View in track 1.”

That is incorrect. Multicam works on the lowest enabled track. If you want it to work on track 2, make sure track 1 is disabled and track 2 is enabled.

By the way this is a terrible design. It requires constant switching of track status and makes it impossible to view continuous multicam if you use multiple tracks. The ideal situation is that the multicam viewer show whatever is on the highest enabled track in use. This is probably the worst flaw of the Ppro multicam paradigm.

YES! This is my issue. Glad i know its a bug and not something I’m missing. Any idea if they’re going to be fixing it any time soon?

I wish it were merely a bug because that would be fixable. This is a design decision and I don’t think they have any interest in changing it

Huh. I never knew that. Mostly because I don’t understand why anyone would think to design it that way.
