  • Auto-Updating waveform for audio and effects?

So I’ve very recently switched from Final Cut X to Premiere, which is awesome. But there are a few features which I’m missing a little and wanted to see if there was an equivalent in premiere:

The main thing I miss is the audio waveforms. When I added a noise gate in fcpx, it was easy to see when it started to take effect because the waveforms would change as I changed the effect settings. The same goes for adding gain and all sorts, it made it very easy to work with audio effects.

I’ve been told this can be done in premiere, but I’m not sure? Does anyone know if this can be enabled in Premiere? Because this makes it so much more easier to edit audio.

    Any help is appreciated thanks!

Edit: I’m on the subscription and using the latest version of PP.

AFAIK the only audio thing that will update the waveform is when you change the gain with the Audio Gain dialog box.
