    Hello there professionals,

I’ve just got my head around premiere pro 2017 and I’m having a few issues I hoped you guys could help with.

    I’m on win 7 (PC)

I’ve exported the project as H264 and was looking for the PCM audio setting. Could only find AAC or mpeg.
Also whenever i have exported, the resulting file contains no audio as far as windows media player but plays fine on VLC. I’ve looked on google for some answers but come up empty. I also sent the file to another win 7 user and he stated the same issue with my file. What have I missed given it plays fine on VLC. ?

    Any help much appreciated.

    Cheers

transcode it to constant frame rate with free handbrake software

Yes, it may be variable frame rate, which Premiere does not like at all. You won’t find an uncompressed audio option with h.264 MP4 media. H.264 is a delivery codec and is very compressed.

    System:
    Dell Precision T7600 (x2)
    Win 7 64-bit
    32GB RAM
Adobe CC 2015.02 (as of 6/2016)
    256GB SSD system drive
4 internal media drives RAID 5
Typically cutting short form from HD MP4 and P2 MXF.

    Hi Damien,

Which H.264 preset did you export with? There are like a hundred of them in Adobe, but I don’t see why any of them would lose audio only in certain playback apps.

If you can please post a screen shot of the Export Settings panel for review, maybe we will see something amiss.

    Thanks
