Automate slide show picture duration to music?
Posted by Bob Thompson on March 15, 2017 at 3:51 pmBeen a while since I’ve done a slide show. I could have sworn that there was an option to automatically match the duration of pictures on the timeline to the length of the song. Maybe that was in Encore? Can anyone tell me if there’s a way to do this in any program in Adobe CC?
Thank you!Nathan Goodfellow replied 7 years, 5 months ago 6 Members · 15 Replies -

March 15, 2017 at 4:09 pmAutomate to sequence in the project panel will give you some options in terms of
how long each slide should be…
overlaps
and transitions
so you can sort of get it to the approx length of a music bed…
from there…
you can nest the sequence vid track….
then use the Rate Stretch Tool to finesse the length overall to match the bed….

March 15, 2017 at 4:11 pmThe previous assumes an equally paced edit of the slides….
there is a plug-in called beat edit that will do some automation based on the rhythm of the bed…

it appears more often, people can’t tell you what they like….just what they don’t like.

You’re obviously familiar with Murphy’s Law, but do you know what Cole’s Law is?

Thank you for the replies. Rate Stretch Tool is a good idea.
Guess I dreamed about the match picture length to audio being built in.
Thanks again!
