    Good morning.
I have an audio problem that I’ve never seen before.

I created a new project as I always do, and imported clips from my Sony PMW200. The camera recorded two speakers, each having their own lav mic, and the lav outputs were plugged into 2 separate XLR inputs on the camera Ch1 and Ch 2.

When I imported my camera sources into Premiere Pro, some reason the two separate audio tracks (ch 1 and 2) are showing up in one channel in clip mixer AND ch1 is panned left and ch2 is panned right. I can’t play either source in CENTER for mono output.

Is there a setting that I don’t see, that would let ch1 and ch 2 be separate again and play back in center pan mode?

This is a new one for me and, I’ll take any advice with gratitude.

    Thanks much.

    Eeric

    Many thanks.

Right click on the clip in the project panel – modify – audio channels.

Try going to Clip/Modify/Audio Channels. You should be able to set it from there.
