    Hey guys,

When changing colors on video clip on a timeline, program monitor does not preview the changes, however if I tweak colors on a master clip (with Lumetri) source monitor does. Also, when I click export media, preview window is showing the changes. Program monitor seems to be the only one not displaying changes.

p.s. I tried others effects like fast blur, and its working. Colors (fast color corrector, Lumetri) are not working.

    what can be the problem?

are you using adjustment layer on your timeline than add color correction onto the layer

No, I was applying colors without an adjustment layer, however now I tried with adj layer and it didn’t work either 🙁

Try turning the mercury playback engine to software only.

WOW, I did change it to software only and strange thing happened:

It only shows changes when I am grabbing and dragging the Lumetri sliders (saturation, contrast, exposure), however when I release it, it changes are not displayed

    Tero,

I think it happens, because the previews are deleted when you change to Sofware only.

look in the picture below, when I make a change to colors, red color bar appears on the top of a clip meaning that this segment of the sequence does not have a rendered preview file associated with it.

So when i I render within the timeline, changes are visible.
    am really confused.

p.s. I updated my video drivers

    Levan,

Did you by any chance resolve this issue? I started experiencing the exact same thing two days ago, and updating my OS and Premiere have not changed anything.

    Best,
    Joseph

This looks like an old thread but figured I’d answer it since I ran into the problem today and it’s 2019. The global effects toggle switch needs to be turned off/on. One way to do it is to add the “fx” button to the program monitor shortcuts. Click on the “+” on the bottom right of the program monitor, then drag the “fx” button to the toolbar. Once it’s there you click it on/off to see/hide the effects. That’s it!

This just happened to me as well (May 2019). Your answer saved me a lot of frustration and taught me about a valuable function! Thank you!!
