I have some Alexa Mini clips that are Log-C. It appears that each clip has embedded metadata, which turns on the LUT correction to Rec 709 in Premiere Pro. It doesn’t seem to be adding that as a Lumetri filter, although it’s possible that it may be there on the master clip (I’ll have to check tomorrow).

Whenever I bring in a clip via Media Browser, I can see it change from flat to LUT-corrected even at the point where I hover over the clip. Then when I import it, the LUT has been applied automatically. Any way to disable or defeat that globally so I don’t get the effect of the LUT?

Check out the master effects for the clip. The LUT should be applied there.

Thanks. My thoughts, too. It will be tomorrow before I can check. However, in any case, is there a way to disable that function globally, so I don’t have to do it for each individual clip?

Assuming the LUT is being applied as a master clip effect, I found you can disable it in the bin. Right-click a clip or group of clips and you have an option to “disable master clip effects”. However, once disabled, I don’t see an option to “enable master clip effects”. Looks like that has to be done in the sequence.

Just to confirm – the LUT is automatically applied as a (source side) master clip effect to the ARRI footage.
