  Play / Pause starts pulling menus instead of timeline

  Kind of says it all. I hit SPACE (play) and as I’m running through the clip, I hit SPACE again to pause and instead it’s pulling down the file menu and dinging at me. It’s making me crazy. I keep having to click back on the Timeline panel just to keep it active.

  Any thoughts? Why does Premiere keep losing focus on the Timeline panel?

  – Windows 10, 64bit
  – NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M video card
  – Most current install of Premiere (CC 2015.4)
  – Issue occurred in last version as well as this one
  – Going out of my mind

  Small update – maybe someone has a thought for me?

  It seems related to hitting ALT. You hit ALT+scroll to zoom in and out of footage, but hitting ALT also invokes the Windows drop-down menus. Any thoughts on getting around this?

  In short, download AutoHotkey and create a script to disable the Windows Alt-menu
